The Harvest is plentiful. It is bigger than expected. It will take more than one worker to bring it in. Therefore, Jesus encourages us to pray. The Harvest is His after all. He is the one who takes initiative and commissions workers. Our assignment is to pray. If Jesus says we should pray for something it means that it is something His Father is pleased to answer. And one way we have seen the answer to that prayer has been the formation of the Expansion Mission Network.
Expansion Mission Network is focused on planting Hispanic churches in the greater metroplex and throughout Northeast Texas partnering with LCMS churches and the support of the Texas District LCMS. As the Lord of the Harvest has answered our prayers for Harvest workers, Expansion Mission Network, local LCMS Churches, and the Texas District have partnered together to support workers via theological formation and the accountability needed to properly train pastors, deaconesses, and evangelists to establish healthy Hispanic Church plants to reach the unchurched in North Texas.
Praise God for His provision!!! Currently three individuals have completed their Seminary education and training including the Executive Director of Expansion Mission Network, Jaime Gonzalez. And there are four more individuals who are currently in/or applying. I am excited to see how Jesus will continue to use Expansion Mission Network in supporting and training those the Lord is sending into the Harvest. It is my joy and honor to support and serve Expansion Mission Network. The Harvest is plentiful. It is bigger than expected. It will take more than one worker to bring it in.
